  • Generator Model
  • Generator Presentation
Upcoming events (timing dependent on REC tour):
  • Rapids Energy Center tour
  • Interview Engineering students for practice on the other side of the table
  • Mid-term test
  • Ethics Conference (April 7) preparation
Note from Bill Beyer:
  • Meet him at 8 AM tomorrow at L&M if you need to buy supplies

Presentation Feedback

When you did your presentations on turbines and upcoming on generators, you are getting feedback from your peers.  You should sift through that feedback and summarize it.  Include this summary in your class binder.

In Class March 1

The Turbine Evolution has ended. We:
  • Researched operation
  • Had class discussions
  • Wrote rough draft papers and got feedback
  • Made physical models
  • Gave class presentations
  • Gave an overall presentation to Thermo class
  • Wrote Final papers and received grades

The Generator Evolution has begun. We:
  • Researched operation
  • Had a class discussion
  • Wrote rough draft papers and got feedback 
Now:
  • We are making models (due March 17th)
  • Creating powerpoint demonstrations (due March 17th)
  • Writing Final papers (due March 17th)

Other items that are in the hopper:
  • 3 possible career paths (some have turned in, others haven't)
  • Ethics conference
  • Interviewing of engineering students
